[[Category:Engine]] [[category:RB30E]] You need the following: *Oil cooler adapter which goes between block and oil filter [[Image:GTSOilCooler1.jpg]] *Oil cooler itself [[Image:GTSOilCooler2.jpg]] *Hoses *Big ass 1 1/8" or so wrench to do the bolt up on the adapter *Pipe was from Pirtek and 2.7 metre of RG-08 cost $36.95 although I probably got about 40cms too much. Heres the GTS diagram [[Image:GTSOilCooler3.jpg]] So you basically use a garden hose or similar to measure the length of hose you need (or you can use what I measured....) and then get the hose. Run the hose first from near the oil cooler and behind your battery. Underneath the car (jacked up from RHS) remove some of the plastic plugs which hold the plastic cover above the front whell and pull the plastic away (these might be old and break btw) Run the hoses through here and then with the front jacked up, use a ruler to measure the distances between the bolts for the oil cooler and underneath the battery. Drill appropriate locations and use metal/mounting plates to bolt together. I also mounted the bottom mounting plates to the front bumper reinforcement by removing the front bumper and putting two holes in it, and then running thin 2cm steel strips from the reinforcement to the bottom of the cooler and bolting together The hoses I actually attached to the cooler first, by putting some oil around the insides and then forcing on quickly and steadily until the hose fully covered the connector. The other end for the adapter I did with the hoses in the car, and then removed the oil filter, put on the adaptor, tightened with big ass wrench and then used a new filter (waited for my next oil change to do this) and refilled with oil. Run the engine for a while again and then let it sit. Then when the oil has settled at the bottom of the bump/ inside the cooler, fill it up to the proper level.
