Important!
Standard indicator globes are clear. If you want to fit clear indicators to your car, you must have orange globes fitted to them.
Front indicators[edit]
You can make your own clear front indicators by using a plastic cover from a flourescent light, and cutting it to fit. Use your existing indicator as a template, and carefully cut out the shape of the indicator. Drill some holes for the screws, and screw them on.
If you don't like the slight rippled effect that occurs on the flat side of the plastic, this can be combatted by cutting a piece of flat perspex the same size as the indicator lens, and placing it on the outside.
Side indicators[edit]
Nismo make a clear indicator which can be made to fit by using a nibbler or hacksaw to shape the existing indicator hole in the guard. This indicator lens is made for the R33 GTS-t. Your local Nissan dealer should also be able to order them in for you, and they are also available from many shops listed in the Car parts and accessories directory for around $90.
If you want to take this modification even further, you can try to source a pair of guards from an R33 GTS-t, and cut the indicator insets from the R33 guards, and weld them onto your R31 guards.
