The task[edit]

1. Now, on to the task itself. Firstly, you must jack the car up and place it on chassis stands and make sure it is secure(a spare tyre under the crossmember for example means you should survive with only minor brain injury should it fall :)

2. Once accomplished, remove the wheel exposing the braking system

3. Remove the hub grease cap with a flat head screwdriver as depicted in the picture, but do it carefuly! There is a rubber seal located inside the cap which may be damaged

4. Remove the split pin and retainer cap by bending the legs back and sliding out the side(giggity)

5. Remove the stub axle nut and washer by loosening

6. Now remove the disc rotor and the front disc bearing should fall out. However the rear disc bearing and grease seal will have to be removed to take out the rear disc bearing. This is accomplished through the use of a flathead screwdriver and hammer by placing the screwdriver through the front rotor hole and gently tapping the rear disc bearing until the grease seal and bearing fall out.

7. Grab a rage and wipe out all the grease in the rotor

8. Now, Open up the new bearing kit, if yours is complete it should contain new bearing cups and other various goodies too.

9. Grease up the rear disc bearing very will with your finger and some new grease. Make sure you get the grease in to every nook and cranny while rotating the bearing to move the grease around. Put some grease on the rear disc bearing cap aswell(Giggity).

10. Place the freshly greased bearing back into its home, then place the rear disc grease seal on. a hammer may be required to gently tap it back into place. Then just rub more grease in and around the bearing while it's inside the rotor.

11. Now before you place the rotor back on, just give the stub axle flange a quik cleanup with a flathead screwdriver(as demonstrated in the picture) so the rear seal can do its job properly. Once this is done put the rotor back on and make sure the rotor is pushed all the way in.

12. Now grease up the front disc bearing aswell, as with the rear bearing ; dont forget to grease teh cup aswell. Once this is done put the front disc bearing back into its housing and add a little more grease again.

13. Replace(In this order) Washer,Stub axle nut(Tighten to 39 Newton Meters) While rotating the hub to seat the bearings then loosen off 90 degrees then put retainer cap, then the split pin back on. Then the hub grease cap, making sure the rubber O-Ring is on there aswell.

14. Put the brake calliper back on and tighten up the 2 bolts that you took out at the start.

15. Place the wheel back on and lower the car down.

"Very important: Before you go for a test drive PLEASE ensure that your brakes are working properly"
